Ed and Doris loved to travel, especially Hawaii, Bermuda, Florida and Wolfeboro, NH. They blended their “brady bunch” families together and raised them all in Wilmington. Nash Associates, Inc., in 1968 and retired after 45 years in business in Wilmington, MA.Įd met the love of his life, Doris through mutual friends and married in 1971. He was a single father to his 5 children and couldn’t have done it without the help of his sister Helen. Determined to continue his education even further, he successfully pursued his Master’s Degree in his 60s. He also speaks very highly of the Disabled American Veterans for their assistance in obtaining the service benefits he rightly deserved.Įd took his GI benefits and went back to school to obtain his High School diploma, Bachelor’s degree and became a Mechanical Engineer. He credits the VA Hospital for their persistence in getting him back to health. ![]() During his course of Navy service, he was part of a rescue effort of Borneo prisoners where he suffered life threatening disabilities. He was a proud Navy man who served on the Mobjack “PT” boat. ![]() He joined the US Navy in 1944 and was discharged in 1946. He was raised by his wonderful grandmother who instilled in him hard work and integrity. Grandfather to Laina Montefusco-Smith, Jonathan Nash and his wife Sal, Jacqueline MacKinnon and her husband Andrew, Heather Nash, Parker Nash, Caroline Stevens, Ashley Stevens, Brian Desmarais, Christopher Desmarais, Davey Coye, Marie Coye and her fiancé Tim Follis, Cameron Sanville and his wife Sheila, Kyle Sanville, Trey Sylvester and Great grandfather and Great-great grandfather to many.Įd was born and educated in Boston, Mass. Edwin “Ed” Nash, long time resident of Wilmington, Mass passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital in Bedford on March 7, 2023, at the age of 96.Įd was the beloved husband of the late Doris (Coye) Nash, cherished brother to the late Helen Meade of South Boston, MA, devoted father of the late Leonard Nash of California, Stephen Nash of Ohio, the late Michael Nash of Gloucester, MA, Scott Nash of Florida, Maureen Stevens and her husband Frank of Wilmington, MA, the late Donna Desmarais of Wilmington, MA, David Coye and his wife Mary of Litchfield, NH, Diane Sylvester and her husband Chuck of Wilmington, MA.
